Applications

AustLon® has gained widespread acceptance as an effective alternative to metal. AustLon® is also used in applications where other plastics have failed to withstand conditions of high mechanical loading and wear.

Due to it’s composition, AustLon® can be modified on site, most often with hand tools, meaning critical downtime is kept to a minimum.

AustLon® is available in a range of grades, each with specific properties which enable it to be used succcessfully in a range of applications. Some of these applications include:

• Bushes and bearings

• Wear pads and plates

• Nylon Spur and Helical Gears

• Rope Sheaves for cranes and equipment

• Trunnion Rollers and roller generally
